The Benefits of Massaging With Grapeseed Oil

After the grape itself has been used to make wine Grapeseed oil is processed by cold-pressing the grape seeds. It is one of the best massage oils because it glides exceptionally well and easily absorbs into the client's skin. As it is non greasy it is a great oil for facial massages. Where Sweet Almond Oil is fabulous for dry and sensitive skin, Grapeseed oil is as fabulous for oily skin. Along with Sweet Almond oil, this is the other oil I always have in stock as it provides a nut free alternative for clients.

Benefits 1 - Great For Balancing Oily Skin

While it may seem a little odd to use an oil to treat oily skin, that is exactly what Grapeseed oil is used for. Drying out oily skin is actually the last thing you want to do. The fact is that oiliness is a reaction of skin that is too dry. Grapeseed is rich in Linoleic acid, which is a natural anti-inflammatory and moisturiser. It also has mildly astringent properties that help to tighten and tone the skin. It effectively locks in moisture, balancing both dry and oily patches, leaving skin feeling smooth, soft, and keeps it supple and youthful without the greasy feeling.

Benefit 2 - Anti-Aging Properties

An excellent choice for facial massages, Grapeseed oil is extremely rich in beta-carotene and vitamins C, D, E. It also has a concentration of essential fatty acids like palmitic, stearic, and linoleic acid as noted above. These fatty acids have performed well in clinical anti-wrinkle trials. Skin damage and the premature signs of aging may be prevented due to the anti-oxidant properties of Grapeseed. The same properties may also boost and maintain the levels of elastin and collagen in the skin. With regular use it can smooth the appearance of your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
