As you age, the production of collagen and elastin in the dermis slows down, resulting in less volume and elasticity. Despite what cosmetics companies say in their advertising, your skin provides an extremely effective barrier to external substances, which is why most cosmetic products applied directly onto the skins surface often fail to penetrate to the deeper dermal layer where they are most needed. Dermapen Mesotherapy is able to reach the deeper layers of skin.

What is Microneedling

Dermapen microneedling uses an individually sealed, sterile, disposable needle cartridge. The cartridge has 12 thin needles that penetrate the skin, causing multiple micro-injuries to the skin, reaching the dermis. The skin's defence mechanism treats this process as an injury, and immediately stimulates the healing process that leads to the natural production of collagen, elastin fibres and reconstruction action in the skin.

What is Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is the introduction of topical nutrients into the skin through the micro-injuries and more specifically into the dermis layer, which contains fibroblasts that synthesize collagen, elastic and reticular fibres. Each ingredient has a specific action within the cells of the treatment area.

Zen-Sations uses Hyaluronic Acid when medical microneedling as ultimately and most importantly it works! This ingredient is what has been used when it has been scientifically tested and proven to reduce the visible signs of aging. When using cosmetic microneedling or Nano Needling you can choose between a number of serums that are suitable to your needs

How many treatments are recommended

I recommend a medical microneedling treatment every 6 weeks. You can have a program of treatments that include all three forms of needling with support on what serums to use in between and at what times.
